About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by Byakuya Kuchiki from Bleach, featuring his calm, confident expression alongside his Zanpakutō and the recognizable pink petals of Senbonzakura. I wanted to capture Byakuya’s controlled and elegant presence while still giving the design a bold anime and comic book feel. The black and white clothing, soft pink petals, teal background, and strong shadows create a clean contrast that keeps the portrait as the main focus while bringing in one of the character’s most iconic abilities. I’d like this piece to be done rather large and take up a good portion of whichever body part we choose. Giving the design more space will allow the portrait, sword, petals, and smaller details to stay clean and readable while giving the overall composition the impact it deserves.
