About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach, featuring her alongside Sode no Shirayuki and pulling inspiration from the dramatic manga panels used during the sword’s release. I wanted the piece to feel like a moment pulled directly from the story while adding bold color, strong contrast, and graphic background elements to give it more energy. The deep blues, bright pinks, icy accents, and manga-style speech bubbles bring together both anime and comic book influences while keeping Rukia as the main focus. I’d like this piece to be done rather large and take up a good portion of whichever body part we choose. The larger size will give the portrait, sword, lettering, and smaller details enough room to stay clean and readable while letting the overall composition make a bigger impact.
