About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by Orihime Inoue from Bleach, featuring a bold character portrait alongside Koten Zanshun, one of her Shun Shun Rikka techniques. I wanted to capture Orihime’s recognizable look while giving the design a stronger manga and comic book feel through sharp linework, graphic shapes, and the speech bubble calling out her technique. The orange hair, cool blues, bright yellow accents, and heavy black contrast help the design feel vibrant and energetic while keeping Orihime as the main focus. I’d like this piece to be done rather large and take up a good portion of whichever body part we choose. The larger size will give the portrait, lettering, clothing, and smaller details enough room to stay clean and readable while allowing the overall composition to make a bigger impact.
