About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by Kon from Bleach, focusing on his iconic lion plush form and exaggerated personality. I wanted to keep the design playful and instantly recognizable while giving it a clean black and grey tattoo style. The oversized head, crossed arms, little lion details, and expressive face capture Kon’s attitude while the smooth shading and bold outlines give the design plenty of dimension. I’d like this piece to be done around hand-sized or larger. This gives the facial expression, shading, and smaller details enough room to stay clean and readable while still making the design work well across a variety of placements.
