About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by The Joker from DC Comics, focusing on the character’s sinister grin, iconic green hair, purple suit, and unpredictable personality. I wanted the portrait to feel unsettling and energetic, using the scattered red “HA HA HA” elements and bright graphic accents to capture that chaotic comic book energy. The exaggerated expression, sharp features, bold colors, and dramatic hand pose give the piece a strong comic book and new school feel while keeping the Joker instantly recognizable. I’d like this piece to be done rather large and take up a good portion of whichever body part we choose. The larger size will give the portrait, hands, lettering, facial expression, and smaller graphic details enough room to stay clean and readable while allowing the overall composition to make a bigger impact.
