About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by Conquest from Invincible, focusing on his brutal personality and the battle-worn look that makes him such an intimidating character. I wanted the portrait to capture Conquest beaten and bloodied while still looking completely confident, with his hands together and the speech bubble adding that classic comic-panel feeling. The bright pink heart creates a fun contrast against the blood, scars, and aggressive expression, giving the design a mix of violence, humor, and bold comic-book energy. I’d like this piece to be done rather large and take up a good portion of whichever body part we choose. The larger size will give the portrait, hands, facial scars, blood effects, heart, speech bubble, and smaller graphic details enough room to stay clean and readable while allowing the overall composition to make a bigger impact.
