About this piece
This flash piece is inspired by Yuji Itadori and Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen, combining the two characters into a fractured split portrait. I wanted the design to highlight their intense rivalry by putting Yuji’s determined, battle-worn expression directly against Mahito’s chaotic smile. The manga speech bubbles, sharp panel breaks, black-and-grey sections, and selective red and purple accents help separate the two characters while tying everything together into one aggressive composition. I’d like this piece to be done rather large and take up a good portion of whichever body part we choose. The larger size will give Yuji and Mahito’s portraits, facial details, manga text, panel breaks, and smaller graphic elements enough room to stay clean and readable while allowing the overall composition to make a bigger impact.
